![]() ![]() Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Larry Kirkpatrick, Hartland College Fall Convocation 2001 The problem of sin and the fall determine what redemption is. What exactly happened to humankind at the fall; how did sin's entrance into the world impact people? Were all made guilty through no choice of their own? Are we condemned by the decision of Adam in which we've had no part? Or, if the effects of sin upon our race are better likened to a disease, is salvation more a healing through Jesus' life-changing gospel than anything else? If so, then how does He bring this to pass in our experience? When will sin and suffering be ended? We understand by Bible prophecy that an investigative judgment just precedes the return of Christ. This judgment shows our God to be both just and Justifier of those who believe in Jesus. As we invite Christ in, He makes us whole. By His powerful, more-than-merely-counted merits, we are changed. Today our world groans, awaiting the revealing of the sons and daughters of God. It is time to be healed, and go out to heal the world.
